The GS social media ambassadors will work with the GS Communications team to create and share more student-focused content on our social channels to help drive engagement among the GS community, and to highlight the GS and Columbia experience for the education and entertainment of current, former, and prospective students.

Ambassadors will focus on creating fun, engaging, short-form content for the GS social outlets, in addition to representing the School on ZeeMee, a social media chat app for prospective and incoming students.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Helping create innovative, engaging content that speaks to, informs, educates, and entertains prospective and current GS students, GS alumni, and the larger Columbia community—including content for Instagram, Reels, Twitter, Facebook Live, TikTok, and more
  • Brainstorming new social ideas with the GS Communications team to further engage our audiences across social channels
  • Acting as a student representative on ZeeMee, answering and redirecting questions, hosting Q&As, and engaging with the newest members of the GS community

This is a hybrid role and ambassadors will often work independently, but will have opportunities to collaborate with fellow team members on various assignments and at regular in-person meetings.
