Position Description
The New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI), Division of Experimental Therapeutics, is seeking a work-study student for a part-time research position starting in January of 2022. This is a unique opportunity for graduating seniors to gain in-depth experience in all aspects of the research process, and provides an excellent foundation for students who wish to pursue further graduate studies.
Responsibilities include:
- Recruiting and screening subjects
- Performing behavioral assessments
- Assisting with data scoring, entry and analysis
- Contacting participants
- Managing purchases
Position Requirements
- Candidates should be pursuing a degree in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in research and experience with Matlab and neuroscience a plus
- Ideal candidate is a current Junior looking to continue with the position through their Senior year.
