Position Description
The Addiction Institute of Mount Sinai is seeking motivated and independent research assistants to help run clinical research studies. This part-time volunteer position is suitable for current students or recent graduates who would like to obtain clinical research experience. The research assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Clinical Research Coordinators and Physician Assistant. Our lab is located at the main Mount Sinai campus on the Upper East Side (New York, NY). Volunteers will work on-site in various Sinai buildings.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with data collection and database management
- Organizing study source documents
- Administering study assessments to participants
- Assisting with participant recruitment
- Transporting study supplies
Position Requirements
- Mature and sensitive attitude towards vulnerable populations
- Interest in psychology, neuroscience, medicine, or related field
- Fully vaccinated
- Able to lift and carry weight up to 10 lbs
- Able to be on your feet throughout the day
Time Commitment
Part-time, must commit to at least 8 hours of work per week (Monday-Friday) for 6 months (or full semester)
