The New York Brain Bank
Position Description
The New York Brain Bank is looking for volunteers to work with Dr. Andrew Teich, Director of the NYBB.
Responsibilities Include:
- Banking and organization of frozen post-mortem tissue
- Fulfilling tissue requests and requests for additional information on tissue
- Dissecting fixed brains for slide generation and diagnosis as well as organization of these materials for future research
- Being involved with education on brain banking
Position Requirements
- Candidates must be 16 years or older
Time Commitment
Part-time, with a minimum of one full day and one half-day per week. The position requires a one year commitment.
