Part-Time, Paid, Temporary Research Assistant, HIV Prevention and Management

Position Description
The Columbia University School of Nursing is looking to hire a Columbia University student to assistant with a very important research project. The candidate will be involved in a federally funded project focusing on HIV prevention and management. This is a temporary position with a flexible work schedule and is mostly remote due to COVID-19, but there are times when in-person work is required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administering assessments to research participants
  • Assisting in research protocol implementation
  • Providing support with literature reviews & data collection
  • Translation of study materials into Spanish
  • Assisting with manuscript preparation
  • Assisting with community outreach (social media & in-person)
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Quantitative or qualitative data collection experience
  • Interest in psychology, LGBTQ+ health, social science research, and/or HIV Prevention
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Time Commitment
Part-time, flexible schedule, with some weekends and evenings required
