Position Description
The School of Nursing is looking for a Variable Hours Officer to support one or more research projects in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities include:

The Variable Hours Officer will carry out the day-to-day operations of research, which include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting recruitment over the phone;
  • Screening and consenting eligible participants;
  • Organizing and conducting study visits/study procedures remotely (i.e., by Zoom) or in person with appropriate personal protective equipment;
  • Submitting and maintaining regulatory documents for/to IRB;
  • Collecting data for tracking and evaluation activities;
  • Coordinating data management for analysis; and
  • Performing other related duties as required.

Position Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus two years of related experience;
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • A strong level of attention to detail with the ability to multitask;
  • Knowledge of computer skills (ex. Microsoft Office Suites, Zoom) required;
  • Must be able to work independently effectively under minimal supervision;
  • Must successfully complete Institutional Good Clinical Practices and HIPAA training and Certification;
  • A strong background with research recruitment, screening, enrollment, follow-up calls and retention activities.
  • Experience with REDCap and Epic (electronic health record) a plus
  • Proficiency with statistical software a plus

Time Commitment
Part-time, 10-15 hours per week, with a commitment through December 2021
Please note: The position is primarily remote, although some on-campus work may be needed in the coming months.

Compensation
$32.14 per hour
