Position Description
The Division of Gender, Sexuality & Health at the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a project manager for Project AFFIRM, a NIH-funded longitudinal study of transgender and nonbinary identity development across the lifespan.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day research activities.
  • Organizing and participating in meetings with the principal investigator, research assistants, volunteers, and members of the community advisory board.
  • Liaising, coordinating, and overseeing activities at the other two study sites (Atlanta and San Francisco).
  • Preparing IRB materials.
  • Hiring and training research assistants.
  • Participating in in-person and remote recruitment activities as needed.
  • Scheduling interviews with research participants.
  • Communicating with research participants as needed.
  • Monitoring data collection and analysis.
  • Partaking in triangulation of qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Processing budget forms.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and manuscripts for the dissemination of findings.
  • Conducting other administrative and miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, public health, psychology, or related field.
  • Two years of experience or training in a medical or social science research environment.
  • At least one year of experience working with gender-diverse communities and/or with organizations concerned about the health and wellbeing of transgender and gender nonbinary (TGNB) individuals.
  • Master's degree in social sciences, public health, psychology, or related field is a plus.
  • Spanish language fluency is a plus.

Compensation
Salary, $51,557.60 - $65,436
