The Division of Gender, Sexuality & Health at the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a project manager for Project AFFIRM, a NIH-funded longitudinal study of transgender and nonbinary identity development across the lifespan.
Managing day-to-day research activities.
Organizing and participating in meetings with the principal investigator, research assistants, volunteers, and members of the community advisory board.
Liaising, coordinating, and overseeing activities at the other two study sites (Atlanta and San Francisco).
Preparing IRB materials.
Hiring and training research assistants.
Participating in in-person and remote recruitment activities as needed.
Scheduling interviews with research participants.
Communicating with research participants as needed.
Monitoring data collection and analysis.
Partaking in triangulation of qualitative and quantitative data.
Processing budget forms.
Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and manuscripts for the dissemination of findings.
Conducting other administrative and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in social sciences, public health, psychology, or related field.
Two years of experience or training in a medical or social science research environment.
At least one year of experience working with gender-diverse communities and/or with organizations concerned about the health and wellbeing of transgender and gender nonbinary (TGNB) individuals.
Master's degree in social sciences, public health, psychology, or related field is a plus.
