The Early-Onset Osteoporosis Center (EOC) at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC).
Position Description
The Shane/Cohen Osteoporosis Research lab at CUIMC is seeking a post-baccalaureate student to serve as a clinical research coordinator for studies of premenopausal and postmenopausal osteoporosis.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with recruitment, assessment, and study visits for a new NIH multicenter clinical trial, as well as other ongoing research grants
- Learning about data collection, entry and analysis and manuscript preparation
- Reporting to the research manager
- Working with the principal investigators of the various grants and other research staff and communicate with a data coordinating center
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training, and experience
- Two years of related experience
- Computer skills including Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with patients and/or human subjects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Fluency in Spanish a plus
Time Commitment
Full-time (35 hours per week) preferred; part-time (15-20 hours per week) acceptable
