Position Description
DK Dermatology PLLC is a prestigious private dermatology practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. They are seeking a full or part-time medical assistant to join our practice. You will work with the physician, and learn about the common dermatology conditions, treatments, and procedures in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities Include
- Welcoming and registering patients
- Assisting with procedures and set up
- Acting as a medical scribe
- Completing prior authorizations
- Optimizing the EMR (e.g. making templates)
- Billing insurance
- Collecting copay and deductibles
- Organizing and cleaning the office at the end of the day
Time Commitment
Full time (Mon. through Thurs. from 11 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Fri. 10:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.) or part time (at least three full days per week). Minimum commitment of one year for both full and part-time employees.
Compensation
$15-20 per hour, depending on prior dermatology experience
