Position Description
The Department of Pediatrics at CUIMC is seeking a Technician A to join their team in a full time position to work within the division of Allergy, Immunology & Rheumatology.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing support and assistance to ongoing laboratory research projects.
- Assisting with wet bench experiments; the initiation and execution of new protocols and projects.
- Keeping records of test project results; filing patient charts/data; assisting in the collection of samples for experimental or diagnostic purposes.
- Maintaining mouse colonies; tracking and ordering reagents.
- Assisting with eliciting information from patients and their families in accordance with structured interview procedures.
- Performing library and online literature research; assisting with the preparation of PowerPoint presentations; preparing manuscript, abstract and grants and performing other related duties necessary to the functioning of the research projects.
Position Requirements
- Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program.
- One year of related experience, or equivalent in education.
Time Commitment
Full-time, 35 hours per week.
