Position Description
The Columbia University Medical Center is seeking two technician B for their research group investigating the pathogenesis of Essential Tremor (ET), a prevalent neurological disorder.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing a wide variety of histological and molecularbiology procedures on human postmortem brain tissue samples for several projects in the lab
  • Performing quantitative morphologic analyses, including collecting microscopic images
  • Characterizing axonal and synaptic changes and a variety of other neuropathologic parameters
  • Organizing the storage of formalin fixed brain samples and histology slides, data management
  • Performing other related tasks that are necessary to the functioning of the laboratory

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, biomedical science, or comparable scientific field acceptable or equivalent in education, training, and experience
  • Experience in molecular biologic techniques a plus
