Position Description
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Department of Surgery is seeking surgical scholars for its newly-launched competitive program designed to provide research experience for post-baccalaureate or glide year students interested in pursuing an academic career in medicine.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Collecting clinical data for databases
  • Performing literature searches related to research projects
  • Analyzing data
  • Assisting in the preparation of research findings for posters, abstracts and manuscripts
  • Completing at least one independent project that is developed in collaboration with the faculty mentor and submitted for presentation at a national meeting

Time Commitment
Full-time, with a one-year commitment (tentatively from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024)
