Position Description
The NYU Interdisciplinary Pain Research Program is looking for highly motivated recent graduates with a background in neuroscience, biology or physical sciences to participation in mentored research for two years as a research technician.
As a physician scientist, Dr. Jing Wang will be able to provide young aspiring scientists or physicians a valuable mentoring experience in neuroscience and clinical medicine. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in the fields of biomedical engineering, neuroscience, neurology, neurosurgery, or anesthesiology.
Responsibilities include:
- Participating in neuroscience and neuro-engineering projects, such as investigating cortical mechanisms of pain using machine learning analysis and brain-computer interfaces, and designing novel neuromodulation systems for treating pain in animal models.
- Engage in opportunities to author manuscripts and present research at national meetings.
Time Commitment
Full-time, with a minimum commitment of two years
