Position Description 
The Division of Hand Surgery at NYU Langone Health is seeking a research coordinator. Under the direction of their faculty, the coordinator will work on a variety of retrospective and prospective clinical studies which focus on a range of conditions of the hand and participate in all operational aspects of ongoing clinical research in the Division of Hand Surgery.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Helping faculty to enroll patients into clinical studies
  • Collecting data at patients’ follow up visits
  • Overseeing data entry and management
  • Completing, maintaining, and updating all study-related IRB documentation
  • Ensuring IRB compliance and ethical approval
  • Creating, cleaning, updating, and maintaining electronic study databases
  • Organizing regulatory binders, study documents, and paper copies of data
  • Coordinating research activities of the hand division
  • Documenting proceedings during research meetings
  • Performing data collection for retrospective studies using EPIC
  • Preparing documents to apply to grants and other sources of funding
  • Performing thorough literature searches in preparation for new studies or writing manuscripts
  • Working cohesively with faculty, fellows, residents, and administrative research staff
  • Capturing surgical technique videos

Position Requirements: 

  • Undergraduate college degree
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Familiarity with data management/analysis programs, including some of the following: Microsoft Excel, SPSS, REDCap, and Research Navigator a plus
  • Fluency in the usage of Microsoft Office Suite a plus
  • Experience with electronic medical records a plus

Time Commitment
Full-time, with a one-year commitment starting in May or June 2023. Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. May include other variable hours.
