Position Description
Dr. Jaime Chu's lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a research associate to assist in projects using zebrafish and/or rodent models as in vivo tools to examine pathways involved in liver disease. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Genotyping, screening, and maintaining animal lines
  • Maintaining lab stock solutions and ordering reagents

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Biology/Molecular biology or a related field and relevant research experience
  • Previous experience in standard molecular biology techniques, such as DNA cloning, PCR, and microinjection
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Zebrafish or mouse experience a plus, as well as relevant experience with other animal models 
  • Previous experience with CRISPR/Cas9 system a plus
