Position Description
The Weill Cornell Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program is seeking a research assistant to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and biomedical engineers. Myriad opportunities are available for learning about cardiology and imaging, including attendance at clinical conferences, shadowing opportunities, and co-authorship on both abstracts and manuscripts. The position entails a broad array of clinical exposures, and is ideal for expanding the pre-medical knowledge base of individuals with scientific background and/or interest in a long-term medical research career.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating active NIH and foundational research protocols, focused on cardiac imaging and outcomes research, as well as technical studies focused on development of new imaging technologies
- Assuming key responsibilities for daily aspects of patient enrollment and coordination, data archival/compilation and analysis, and institutional administrative and compliance issues (e.g., IRB, budgeting)
Position Requirements
- Scientific background and/or interest in a long-term medical research career a plus
Time Commitment
Full-time, with a minimum commitment of one or two years
