The Weill Cornell Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program is seeking a research assistant to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and biomedical engineers. Myriad opportunities are available for learning about cardiology and imaging, including attendance at clinical conferences, shadowing opportunities, and co-authorship on both abstracts and manuscripts. The position entails a broad array of clinical exposures, and is ideal for expanding the pre-medical knowledge base of individuals with scientific background and/or interest in a long-term medical research career.
Coordinating active NIH and foundational research protocols, focused on cardiac imaging and outcomes research, as well as technical studies focused on development of new imaging technologies
Assuming key responsibilities for daily aspects of patient enrollment and coordination, data archival/compilation and analysis, and institutional administrative and compliance issues (e.g., IRB, budgeting)
Scientific background and/or interest in a long-term medical research career a plus
Full-time, with a minimum commitment of one or two years
