Position Description
A private urology practice in midtown Manhattan is seeking a medical scribe. The desired start date is May 2021, with compensation of $18 per hour.
Responsibilities include:
- Interviewing each patient and documenting their medical history in the EMR
- Entering findings during the physical exam and noting the impression and plan
- Finishing the summary of the visit and sending correspondence to the patient’s healthcare professionals
- Setting up the uroflowmetry equipment and explaining to patients how to use the machine
- Preparing lab cultures
- Setting up and assisting with procedures including minimally invasive prostate procedures
- Counseling patients on getting blood tests and setting up lab and radiologic appointments
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Completion of premedical coursework
Time Commitment
Full-time during the week, starting in May 2021
Compensation
$18 per hour
