Position Description
Dr. Leo Keegan's private practice, Fifth Avenue Millennium Aesthetic Surgery, is seeking a student to work as a medical assistant at the Upper East Side plastic surgery practice. The assistant will be trained by the current full-time medical assistant as well as the current part-time assistant and the surgeon.
Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the plastic surgeon and the full time medical assistant
- Seeing patents before, during, and after surgery in the in-office operating room
- Working at the reception desk
- Preparing patients' paperwork prior to surgery
- Answering patient calls and emails
- Scheduling patients
- Ordering supplies
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Graduate of a Postbac program a plus
- Personable and well-spoken
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to learn quickly
- Business attire required
Time Commitment
Part-time, with one-year commitment. Hours may vary depending on the needs of the practice as well as the employee's academic schedule.
