Position Description
The Gouon-Evans Laboratory in the Center for Regenerative Medicine (CReM) at Boston University School of Medicine is seeking a lab technician.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting supervised bench-top experiments on liver regeneration
  • Carrying out basic lab manager duties
  • Ordering, purchasing, and maintaining the lab stocks
  • Working with laboratory mice
  • Harvesting and analyzing mouse tissue and cell culture of mouse and human stem cell lines
  • Collecting liver tissue, sectioning, immunostaining, conducting liver function and regeneration assays
  • Conducting basic characterization using PCR, cDNA preparation, real-time PCR and immunostaining

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field
  • Mouse work and familiarity with routine laboratory tasks a plus
  • Cell culture a plus 

Time Commitment
Full-time, with a two-year commitment.
