Position Description
The Office of the Commissioner of Major League Baseball is seeking an entry level Medical Administration Coordinator who will work on player medical, health, and safety initiatives. The coordinator would also serve as the key point-of-contact- for club medical personnel. Additionally, the role may lead to opportunities to become involved with other projects in our department or other areas of the office.
Responsibilities include
- Assisting with all administrative duties around compliance with the league-wide Electronic Medical Records system standards
- Assisting with development of the EMR and other IT systems for tracking injury and medical information
- Completing an analysis of player injury-related topics for the Commissioner's Office and Clubs
- Providing support for all league-wide medical and injury research projects
Position requirements
- Must have an undergraduate degree with strong academic performance, preferably including a focus in scientific or other quantitative coursework
- A strong quantitative background including experience working with large data sets and leading complex analysis, a plus
- 1-2 years professional experience, a plus
- Familiarity with, and interest in, Major League Baseball, particularly in baseball, medical, and injury topics, a plus
