Position Description
The Metabolic Bone Disease Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery and New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell is looking to hire a clinical research coordinator. The coordinator will provide research, clinical, and administrative support for the office of Dr. Joseph Lane.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Assisting the clinical research team in recruitment, data collection and analysis
  • Performing protocol related interventions
  • Scheduling follow-ups
  • Managing REDCap databases
  • Presenting at conferences
  • Training staff from other departments on protocol procedures
  • Managing essential regulatory documents
  • Submitting all necessary documents to the IRB
  • Facilitating research meetings
  • Assisting Dr. Lane in the clinic while seeing patients by taking their history and acting as a scribe during appointments
  • Escorting patients to radiology

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science or related field
  • Minimum of two years academic and/or work experience in the field of research
  • Desire to pursue a future career in medicine and/or research

Time Commitment
Full-time, with a one-year commitment beginning summer 2022.
