Position Description 
The Psychiatry Department at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine is seeking a student to work as a clinical research assistant to serve as part of a longitudinal study on neurobiological changes in schizophrenia-spectrum disorders. The studentn will manage the day-to-day research activities of the project and will join an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists and psychologists at the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine that studies the neurobiological mechanisms of schizophrenia using functional MRI.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Recruiting, screening, enrolling, and obtaining informed consent from participants from the community surrounding the Mount Sinai School of Medicine

  • Assisting in data collection and analysis.

  • Maintaining participant information in accordance with IRB regulatory procedures.

  • Assisting in preparation of IRB documentation for protocol submissions, amendments, and continuing reviews.

  • Communicating regularly with the study team to ensure completion of all study procedures.

Position Requirements: 

  • A bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field 
  • Some undergraduate research training in cognitive neuroscience and/or clinical psychology 

Time Commitment 
Full-time; with a minimum commitment of two years.
