Position Description
The Boston University (BU) Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Center is seeking a talented individual to serve as a Clinical Research Assistant for the DIAGNOSE CTE Research Project. The project is an NIH funded, 7-year, multi-center, multidisciplinary, longitudinal clinical research study of CTE. The primary goals of the project are to: develop methods of diagnosing the neurodegenerative disease, CTE, during life, refine and validate diagnostic criteria for the clinical diagnosis of CTE, and investigate genetic and head impact exposure risk factors for CTE.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and conducting remote study evaluations, including consenting and determining decisional capacity
  • Administering and scoring telephone- and video-based neuropsychological tests and other assessments
  • Working with Retention Coordinator on a variety of activities

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree (or equivalent) in Psychology/Neuropsychology, Neuroscience, Public Health, Sports Medicine, Pre-Med track, or related field
  • Previous experience in a clinical research setting a plus

Time Commitment
Full-time, with an 18-month minimum commitment.
