Position Description
The Institute for Bladder and Prostate Research is seeking a medical, graduate, or undergraduate student to be a full-time clinical assistant and research coordinator.
Responsibilities include:
- Organizing and keeping track of all IBPR research projects
- Managing and updating the patient databases
- Conducting independent research, presenting abstracts at conferences, and publishing manuscripts
- Onboarding, briefing, and supervising medical residents, medical students, and college undergraduates on projects and presentations
- Applying for and maintaining Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals
- Preparing and managing presentations for National and International conferences
- Managing patients through clinical pathway (i.e. answering patient phone calls, interfacing with other physician offices and pharmacies, following up with patients regarding their plan of care, scribing during in office or tele-visits, etc.)
- Assisting with patient registration on the weShare® app, transcribing bladder diaries, setting diary reminders, and managing the patient help desk
Position Requirements
- Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Previous research experience is a plus
Time Commitment
Full-time, with a minimum commitment of one year beginning in June. Mon. - Thurs. in-office, Fri. remote or in-office.
