Position Description The Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Health System is seeking an assistant/associate researcher for a laboratory for inflammatory skin diseases that is responsible for many breakthrough findings leading to new treatments for inflammatory skin diseases such as eczema, alopecia areata, and more.
Conducting experiments using advanced research techniques specific to subject matter of the research project
Analyzing and assisting in interpreting moderately complex results
Performing assays to support research studies
Assisting in new and unexpected research experiments and techniques
Assisting in the collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation
Bachelor’s degree in Life Science is required. For an associate researcher, Master is a plus
Prior lab experience in laboratory techniques such as qPCR, RNA-Seq, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and tissue culture
Strong computer skills are required. Experience building and managing databases is a plus
Past laboratory experience a plus
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Minimum two-year commitment.
