GS at the US Open

September 3, 2009

CAA had its annual US Open event on September 2, and, as with the CAA Picnic last July, GS alumni played a vital role in the day’s programming. Ira Liran '01 provided Vita Coco coconut water for alumni from all Columbia schools to enjoy, and GSers had their own reserved table at which they congregated before the matches.

Over 450 people from every school in the University gathered in the hospitality tent for dinner and drinks before heading over to the courts to enjoy watching Roger Federer and Serena Williams in their individual games.

Ira Liran, co-owner of Vita Coco natural coconut water, provided refreshment in a variety of flavors. His staff handed out containers of original as well as tangerine, peach and mango, pineapple, and açai and pomegranate-tinged coconut water.

We hope to see you at next year’s event!
